# Changelog

> **Summary — what this page covers**
> What's changed in the workshop, by version. Keep entries short — three to five lines — and date
> them. The audience is past attendees coming back to refresh, and you, six months from now,
> trying to remember what you fixed when. Newest entries on top.

## v1.0 — July 9–10, 2026 · Visual Studio LIVE!

**Initial public delivery.** Two days, six sections per day, BookTracker as the through-line.

- **Day 1, Section 2** restructured as **Steering Claude Code** — adds **Rules** as a first-class
topic; corrects skills to **folders** (with `SKILL.md`); corrects subagents to **`.md` with
YAML frontmatter** (not `.yaml` files); reframes "Never do X" as a job for **hooks,
permissions, and managed settings** — not CLAUDE.md.
- **Day 1, Section 4** adds **debugging from a stack trace** as a first-class topic and Lab 4 step.
- **Day 2, Section 5** Lab 5 promotes **AI-generated release notes** from a bonus to a first-class
step alongside the GitHub Actions code-review workflow.
- **Day 2, Section 3** documents a **free/local embedding path** (Ollama + `nomic-embed-text`)
  alongside the OpenAI default.
- Verified facts as of June 2026: Anthropic C# SDK **v12.x** · ModelContextProtocol C# SDK **v1.x
GA** · MCP transport is **Streamable HTTP** (not HTTP+SSE) · MCP donated to the **Agentic AI
Foundation** under the Linux Foundation (Dec 2025) · Current model lineup: Opus 4.8, Sonnet
  4.6, Haiku 4.5.
